YES! We finally received some "updates"! (Although they really aren't super exciting.) :l
In this post (new thing I want to start doing):

To start the post off, I thought we'd start with good ol'
Today's shop is one I'm actually a big fan of and probably one of the most educational shops in Jamaa...
The Conservation Museum!
Basic Info
Description: The Conservation Musuem is a large shop located in the corner of Appondale. When you first walk in, you'll see a little floating globe in front of a column. If you click that, you'll start taking a 10 question internet safety quiz that if you pass, will give you a plaque! (They're very low in demand and not worth much, but it's a very cool den accessory for a planet or eco den!) Also, to the right of that you'll see a little lock box where you can donate a certain amount of gems to help protect big cats! I try and donate at least 1,000 gems every month because I think it's a really nice idea X) I really love this shop, and I recommend you check it out!
Location: The far left corner of Appondale, diagonally across from the giant tree :)
First Released: April 2011
Fun Facts:
- It was originally named the "Animal Museum".
- In May 2015, the Appondale Theater was added to the Conservatory Museum!

Time for the new AJ updates!
The first of the five updates was...
It looks like the Chinese New Years items are back! This year's animal: the ox! The New Years party and adventure are back as well :)
Woohoo! Looks like some dens are coming back! I have to say, I really like almost all of these dens. The Peck one may be a little to big for me, but they all have a nice atmosphere and vibe.
That's right! Pet Dodo's are back in the Diamond Shop, and adoptable for all players! I'm excited we finally got a NM announcement; it's been a while... Anyways make sure you pick up the Dodo Bird, only 3 diamonds!
Adding to the animals update, Arctic Foxes have returned! They are purchasable in the Diamond Shop for 10 diamonds, so come pick yours up today! (Wow, I really sound like an Animal Jam advertiser right now xD)
For our final update of the day, it looks like a new bundle has appeared! I like the name: "Whimsical Winter Lights Bundle". That's a tongue twister. Anyways, the contents of this bundle are the following: Snowflake Arctic Wolf, pet fox, the Igloo Estate den, some Whimsical Armor, and a luminous set of whimsical lights den items! (AJ's wording, not mine)
And those were today's updates! I guess they were better than nothing :)

For the final part of today's post, we have some blog updates! Here are a couple of ideas I've had:
- "In this post" - As you probably saw in the beginning of my post, I added a portion called "in this post". I used to just explain what I was going to be writing about in a couple of sentences, but I like this way a little better. Just more clean and organized :)
- AJ Ally- I thought of this when I was playing AJ, and when I realized how many times I'll see this, I've decided to put together a little series called "AJ Ally". For example, sometimes I'll find 2 jammers spreading positivity and saying things like "Wow your outfit is gorgeous!" and "have a great day", instead of people yelling in all caps, "HEADDRESS ON TRADE ACCEPTING BLACK LONGS AND STUFF". But I thought this would be a cool way to shout out jammers trying to regain that calming atmosphere AJ once was. (Don't come at me, I know it still basically is...) (I also might change the name and I'm open to suggestions in the comments!)
TMR (The Mira Report) Update
You may have seen that the December Issue of The Mira Report hasn't been put out yet! The holidays were more then insane, and I think writing all of those blog posts plus spending time with family plus trying to put out an issue of TMR was a bit ambitious. But don't worry, it's currently being worked on now! You should expect it by the end of this January, and we'll just skip January's issue so we'll be back on track. Thank you all for your patience and I can't wait to put out the new issue!
Also, before we wrap up today's post I finally got a chance to give Rainbow000Pegasus her prize she won for my contest! My apologies, Rainbow, for not giving it sooner! We took a selfie in her den, and she had a cute idea to have us sit on a little sleigh! Here's us:

I think your AJ Ally idea is a great idea!! Or maybe also ideas of positive things to do-- something I like to do is to find Jammers who are new (like they don't have many achievements on their player card) and if they have stuff on trade, overtrade them some rarer items to help start them off. Sometimes new people ask questions about how to do things, and I think it's always a good idea to help out in those cases c:

DeleteI'll do that to! It's really nice when you overtrade a newer jammers, and you see their over use of exclamation marks and thank yous :) I really want to try and make that more of a common thing that people do, so it DOESN'T have to be something special that I have to blog about :')
Just be careful that the new jammer with low achivements isn't a spare--
DeleteOf course xD I always get that little voice in my head right before I trade them that they could be somebody with every headdress in the world, but I would have no proof or way of knowing.

Yeah. One of my buddies yesterday gave me a patched hat. I really like it, because I'm not that rare and I will take anything desperately xD
DeleteI do have a red long, but it's nft since I overtraded for my skunk tail. It's also one of my only spikes. I traded a red long AND a green long for my skunk tail. Who in the world is going to do a trade that terrible!? I still regret it this day >.<
After my buddy gave me the patched hat, he tried to trade one of my friends a worn blanket BLACK. She kept declining. And when she traded me and I declined her unfair shop items, she did all sorts of angry emotes, for example, the angry smoke coming out of ears or the chaos emote. It made me want to do them (even though I'm nonmember) because her mira amulet wasn't worth my planet walls. My buddy gave her an overtrade, and she declined. She gave me an undertrade, and I declined. It really makes no sense.
I'm not even sure what that has to do with what you just said, but I typed it in anyways ;P

That's exciting! I'm a fan of patched hats too!! (Even though they aren't worth much ^-^)
DeleteOof, I've been to those overtrade days. I got a wood floor for a pink short collar, and I think that may have been a bit of an overtrade on my part.
That friend sounds... interesting. I'm surprised she wouldn't take all the gifts you and your buddy tried to give her! I know if someone was overtrading me (accidentally or on purpose), the horrible part of me would pick that up in a quick second.

ReplyDeleteHaha, jokes aside, well, January has only started, I can only see my schedule going downhill from here pfft.
That said, just be careful for the AJ Ally if people might not want their names shared, so maybe it's best to have that segment shown with animal names rather than usernames.
xD I wish you could be considered more famous; this blog is a youngie and a newie so it's not as popular. A jammer can dream, though.

ReplyDeleteYou know, the Kitten The Kangaroo series? Maybe our characters could meet eachother! f.x, Kitten gets lost in a forest and then in MY story, she finds my characters and they become friends?
I already have a kangaroo that looks just like kitten, nice and purple.
And, I have great ideas for her!
(Tbh, when Kitten's away, you can post the same with me on HER blog.)
