Hello jammers! It is I, popcorn the pizza, BACK with another post XP Even though I've got loads to do, I wanted to at least put out the 9 updates we received from AJ last night (and also a pretty sad look at AJ's reality in the form of an Instagram post...)

Let's get started! 

Ah, Pi Day. Comes every year, always stays the same. I hope they at least add some new den items!

Next up is the Spring Festival, a "new" adventure to find the hidden Easter eggs. This adventure kind of reminds me of Lucky Clovers, to be honest, just with different objects you're trying to find. Hmm...

Yep, here it is. I honestly think this is just filler. It's basically advertising the same thing it did when Lucky Day came out in FEBRUARY, just explaining the adventure a little more. (See below) 

Yay, an advertisement for a den we've had for 3 1/2 years. 

It looks like you can pick up eggs in the Diamond Shop for 3 diamonds, I think? You can either hatch a baby chick, a falcon, or a crocodile! Once again, cool items, same things from last year though. 

Oh look who decided to come back :l

AAAA. I actually like this den. The stone pathways and circle in the front lawn are unique, and I'm glad they didn't just make it identical to the other small house's. But you probably know what I'm going to say, so I'll spare you the annoyance :)

Flamingos have returned. Yay. Not really sure why they're acting like they are new animals...

The last "update" we received was the Enchanted Lucky Bundle! The bundle can be purchased in the Diamond Shop for 30 diamonds and includes the following: a Goat, pet Flying Pig, the Spring Cottage den, lots of new Lucky den items, and some cool clothing accessories in green. I went in the Diamond Shop today and saw everyone almost hyperventilating over it. "PLEASE BUY FROM MY SHOP I NEED THIS BUNDLE IM BEGGING" xd Oh the sights you see.

Gabby's Animal Hospital

Description: Gabby's Animal Hospital is a medical-themed building in Jamaa. It was formerly known as the Medical Center, but a small update replaced it with Gabby's Animal Hospital in September 2013. 

Location: Kimbara Outback

First Released: Although it was introduced when Kimbara Outback was first released (July 2013), it didn't actually open until September 2013. 

Fun Facts: 

• The letters on the eye chart by the door spell out several names of the alphas!
• There was a 2 year gap where the hospital had no watchable videos (2014-2016)
• The coloring table on the lower level of the building once could be clicked and opened to a Print and Play menu, but it is no longer a clickable object

Now, copyright. It's a very interesting topic that a lot of people tend to get confused by. For instance, adding a copyright symbol doesn't mean that people will get in big trouble if they still your work. Obviously, no one should ever steal someone else's work; it's horrible and wrong. But they won't get extremely penalized. Continue reading to find out what these 3 copyright symbols mean!

© Copyright - Copyright is basically the right you have over the things you create. It's automatically yours when you create photos, drawings, writings, and videos; in other words, you don't need a copyright symbol to have copyright. In the case that someone does steal your work, copyright symbol or not, there's really not much you can do about it.       

™ Trademark - Trademark is basically copyright, but is more commonly used with a name or phrase. Similar to the copyright above, you can't really do much of anything if someone copies that name/phrase. The symbol is once again just a reminder; unless you have it registered. Read more below.    

® Registered - This symbol you absolutely cannot used unless you have it registered, meaning you paid money to some government agency to protect your personal work. Using this symbol without paying money is illegal. You can get in a lot of federal trouble, something you shouldn't have to worry about when you're on a free, blogging platform! If you do register a copyright, there are certain registered symbols that you can use on your blog (as mentioned above). 

In the end, you can use the copyright and trademark symbols for free, but you can't really do anything if someone steals your work. The only way to really get someone in trouble for stealing your work is if you have a paid, registered, trademark on your website/blog/work. 

I hope that made sense, and that you'll never have to get in trouble with any federal agency as someone under 18 xd

Announcement - Yes, I do have an announcement (that Dogo and Doomy already know xp). I have joined the AJSASS (Animal Jam Special Agents Stopping Scammers), and I have been promoted to gamma! Happy Thursday, jammers! This post (like many past ones) will be a more relaxed, talk-ish post as well as an introduction to a new exclusive! 

Let's start, shall we?

To start off this post, I though I'd introduce you to a new exclusive I will be adding! Let's welcome...

Donate Day was an idea I got from, well, the Conservation Museum! I've always tried to monthly donate 500-1000 gems to one of the 3 big cats. Since I've actually possessed a lot of unneeded gems from my "arcade phase" *shudders*, I decided to move it weekly and now donate 100-250 gems to one of the big cats (the amount depending on my gem level) We'll see how long it takes for me to go broke... 

Anyways, this week's Donate Day big cat was... the cheetah! 

Edit: Funny story, it actually took me about 3 tries to actually successfully get this recording uploaded and not accidentally trashed, so I ended up donating about 3000 gems to the cheetah off-camera :l

Shop Shoutout! Today's Shop Shoutout is quite an interesting one if I'm completely honest, and seems to also get pretty overlooked. Introducing...

The Adventure Shop

Description: The Adventure Shop is the shop in Adventure Base Camp. Though not many people know much about it, it's overall a pretty great shop and sells a variety of phantom cages and enclosures. 

Location: The right corner of Adventure Base Camp (which is the first tab in the "Parties" category)

First Released: September 2013

Fun Facts: 

• There is a pattern where the iron items (Phantom Cage, Phantom Lockbox, etc.) are 400 gems less than their wood variants
• Before the shop was released, jammers thought that the shop would let them obtain phantoms and "adventure powerups". However, that was eventually proven wrong following the shop's release

Let's get right into the post!

1. Currency Transfers - Have you ever had a friend or buddy that really needed just 5 more diamonds to buy their dream item? And yes, you have those diamonds and would love to give it to that buddy. But you can't.

Pros - Jammers could get rid of unwanted gems and/or diamonds while also helping out another fellow jammer! 

Cons - This could result in more scamming between jammers. 

2. NPC's - I think AJC would get so much cooler if little NPC's were placed around the map. They could give you daily tips, tell you where the Monday RIM is that day, etc. I know that AJ has it's own NPC, Leilani, but I would want to maybe upgrade her a little more. 

Pros - They could positively add to the environment of the community by giving helpful tips for navigating the map, trading, scamming tips, etc. There could be about... 6 maybe, all with their different purposes. And maybe, they're all the alphas! 

Cons - Really, I couldn't think of many cons except for they could eventually get annoying? If they always had their little voice and speech bubble up, I could definitely see how that could get annoying for some jammers. 

3. A Den "Nomination" Button - Next on my list is a Den Nomination Button. I actually thought of this while looking through some epic dens XP I thought that all of the steps of submitting an entry on Jammer Central and uploading images is kind of a lot. So, what if there was some "Vote Me!" button whenever you entered someone's den? Jammers could vote on other jammers' dens if they particularly liked it or it was a great reflection of AJ itself. The dens with the most votes at... let's say the end of each month, would win a spot on the Epic Dens list! 

Pros - This could positively showcase jammers' dens that they worked really hard on! And, it wouldn't just be AJHQ's choice; it would be a community choice from different jammers. 

Cons - There could potentially be an issue with just grabbing up all of your buddies and telling them "Vote my den" even if it's a den they maybe took 10 minutes on. But this is a pretty minor issue that I think wouldn't affect the overall addition to the game.

4. Custom Colors - Moving on to Custom Colors. This was actually an idea from my buddy. She argues that the 50 color shades that Animal Jam gives us are not enough. I really liked her idea and decided to expand it a little X) What if there was a color wheel where you could make your own colors to add to your animal? You could also have a "Library", where you could store some of your favorite colors that you've created so you can use them again in the future!

Pros - This could give jammers more of a way to express themselves, and make their own shades! It would honestly also just be very fun. 

Cons - I don't really find any cons in this idea. I mean yeah, it would take more coding (or whatever AJ does to add things) but so does everything else.

Dogo is super excited about their new blog, and I hope you are too! They are such a positive commenter on this blog, so let's all return the favor :)

Animal Jam Classic 

Ah, the OG Animal Jam Classic. The game that started it all. Animal Jam Classic is a 2D-ish game made by WildWorks in 2010. It can be played on PC but because of a recent change, browser (via flash) is no longer available. The game originated in 2010, and then was released the beta stage which ended in September of 2010. The game is extremely successful, with more then 300 million registered accounts in the past 10 ½ years.

But, with all that being said, why is Animal Jam supposedly better?

What Animal Jam Classic offers that Animal Jam doesn't

Major Features 

- A huge part of what makes Animal Jam Classic great is the amount of lands. Animal Jam Classic has 4 different underwater lands, while Animal Jam doesn't thus resulting in AJ also having the inability to make underwater animals

- Animal Jam Classic has a ton of different underwater and land adventures, while Animal Jam doesn't

Minor Features

- Animal Jam Classic uses diamonds as the secondary currency rather than sapphires 

- Animal Jam Classic is PC and browser only

- Animal Jam Classic is 2D

- Animal Jam Classic is older then Animal Jam

Animal Jam 

Animal Jam was first released for in 2014 which later ended in mid 2015. The game was eventually fully released in August 2015 and was available for all countries. It started primarily as a mobile game, but eventually got cross-platformed to PC as well. The game used to be called "Play Wild", but was changed in May 2020 due to increase in popularity. 

What Animal Jam offers that Animal Jam Classic doesn't

Major Features

- Animal Jam has the volcano land, Moku' Ahi, a huge difference between the 2 worlds

- Animal Jam has the Phantom Dimension (which I actually just learned, it is not copyright from Kitten's story) 

- Animal Jam can be played on mobile and PC 

- Animal Jam has packs (groups of jammers that can have their own hideout and special adventures)

- Animal Jam's trading system is different

Minor Features

- Animal Jam uses sapphires as the secondary currency rather than diamonds

- Animal Jam has a daily login reward, as well as the daily spin

- You can buy memberships with sapphires (the in-game currency), unlike Animal Jam Classic where you have to use real money

- You can talk with an NPC in Animal Jam, an arctic wolf named Leilani

Animal Jam and Animal Jam Classic may be 2 different games, but they are both still equally fun to play. Both of the games are made by WildWorks, and very successful all together. I hope you enjoy playing these games as much as I do!

I thought that we would start off today's post with Rating Famous Jammers' Den! Small disclaimer: Please don't come at me if I'm too harsh xD I'm only judging their current den (because I can't see the others) and I'm sure that a lot of their dens are super epic. Let's start off the list with...

Ooh I like this den! It looked like she used the normal Small House and added tons of decorations xD It kind of looks like a pink garden/birthday party rolled into one. 

Rating: 8/10

Shopking

We can all probably guess why I couldn't show any pictures :l 🔒

Julian2

It looks like Julian2 went for a more... classic den, with a couple of fire pits and pet houses. We also can't forget Julian2's meme of SpinnyBoiz and today, I actually got to meet 2 in real life! Wow, the things you see. Overall, I kind of like the simplicity of this den. 

Rating: 6/10 

Snowyclaw

Snowyclaw's den was actually really cool. It looked like a medieval castle on the inside, but outside was a pretty garden! The lag was insanely bad xD but I liked this den overall!

Rating: 9/10

Chocolate4froggy

Their den was filled with, well you guessed it, masterpieces! What I did like was that they put the little collections of plushies together (the Kit plushies in the bottom picture, and the teddy bears in the first one) 

Rating: 7 and a half/10

Scooter (chocolate4050)

Some may consider Scooter a famous jammer, some may not, but I consider him as one :) (or at least his blog) He is the author of the Animal Jam Sky Blog, for those who didn't know, and I was actually loving his den! The inside was super creative and fun, while the outside had a mysterious, garden, phantom-y feel X) *Also, I wanted to see how long it had been since he last logged on and you know, I was expecting 30+ days like a lot of the famous jammers. But it said 24! Who knows? Will we expect a Scooter return?? 

Rating: 9 and a half/10 

Onto the next topic!

Next, I thought I would share with you some new current blog updates! (I know I seem to do this a lot XP Let me know if it's not interesting and content worthy) 

Anyways, I'm currently working on a lot of new pages (and I completed a new page today!) that I want to share with you! 

In Progress: 

• Animal Jam Dictionary - I like to use abbreviations for Animal Jam when I post, and for new jammers that could be confusing. So I'm currently working on the master list of the places in Jamaa, abbreviations (NM, RIM, etc.), shops, and things like that :) 
  
  
• Minigame Guide - I'm also working on making a minigame guide as well! For each minigame (maybe not every, we'll see how far I get until I lose motivation xd), I'll put basic information like the achievements for the game, tips on how to win/score higher, etc. 
  
  
• New Jammer Starter Guide - I also want to start making a New Jammer Starter Guide; basically a whole page dedicated to Animal Jam how tos and rules and stuff like that. 
  
  
• Diamond Guide update - If you've checked out my Diamond Shop Guide on the sidebar, you'll probably notice it only goes over the main building. I want to expand on this and list how to get diamonds, and what you can buy with diamonds, etc. (Inspired by nafaria9's Diamond Guide)
  
  
• New Header - I'm fidgeting with the header, too. I can't seem to make it bigger than the required size for some reason. You see how the current header looks kind of smushed? I'm trying to figure out how I can make the height and width bigger... (if anyone can help me in the comments, that would be great :) )

New Pages: 

• Plaque Guide - I just finished up a new guide! The plaque guide! I'm very fascinated in the AJ plaques, and I think that's what sparked this motivation. 

Announcements: 

• January TMR Release Date: TMR (The Mira Report) has been set to release on Janurary 30th! I'll post future announcements when the time is closer, but for now let's just hope I finish in time xD
  
  
• Kitten the Kangaroo: Part 2 coming this weekend: Yep! You should expect a new issue today or tomorrow! Stay tuned ;)

Moving on to the last topic...

Today, I actually found a pretty memorable AJ Ally! (Shoutout to Dogo for showing me it!) What da ya know? It's a dance party in Balloosh! It was actually really fun, and it was nice seeing a party in Balloosh for a change! I feel like it's a very underrated land in Jamaa but it's so calming and peaceful :) I really recommend visiting there next when you're in Jamaa! Here are some pictures from the dance party!

My 5 Favorite Den Betas & Shop Shoutout

Sarepia Movie Theater 

Basic Info

Description: The Sarepia Movie Theater is a location in Sarepia Forest. Here, jammers can watch educational videos, play a popcorn minigame, and just hang out! 

Location: The top floor of the Tree House in Sarepia Forest

First Released: Unknown (couldn't find any information :l)

Fun Facts: 

• AJHQ adds 2-4 new videos every month or so!
  
• It's one of the 5 places in Jamaa where jammers can watch videos.

Now, it's time for Popcorn's Favorite 5 Den Betas! (All images used are not mine, and from Animal Jam Worth Wiki)

Starting off the list at number 5 we have...

#5: Open Sign

I placed the Open Sign den beta at number 5 because it's one that I really love. It's great for roleplays like cafes, restaurants, hotels, etc. The only "complaint" I have about it is that I wish other people could see the sign change from open to closed, you know? I love how it's interactive, though, and that's why this is my #5 choice! 

#4: Cami's Frog

The Cami's Frog den beta is another one of my favorites, mostly because of the backstory! For those who don't know, one of the members at AJHQ had a daughter named Cami who always had with her a green stuffed frog with a pink chest. Unfortunately Cami got diagnosed with leukemia, so AJHQ added in the "Cami's Frog" to resemble the one that she had! Luckily, she survived and is now the host of the YouTube series, Wild Explorer, which is featured on the official Animal Jam YouTube channel!

#3: Scarecrow 

I love the non member scarecrow den beta, mostly because it's great for fall/Halloween dens! I've used it many times in the dens I've decorated over the years, and it's a really nice touch to an autumn-y den X)

#2: Wood Floor 

The Wood Floor definitely deserves the number 2 spot and I'll tell you why: It gives a nice home-y feel to any den, and it has a kind of modern vibe that I insanely like about it! I especially like to use it in the Small House dens, because it's a perfect addition to smaller spaces. 

Finally, the moment we've all been waiting for. My number one pick is... 

#1: Gecko Plushie!

Yep. As you probably already know, I have a huge plushie addiction. That's probably the reason for this beautiful den beta having the number 1 spot. I love to put it into nature dens and hang it on a tree or something. It can bring a cool "living creature" aspect to a nature/forest den that can look really cool!

Today's RIM for AJ Classic:

A Rare Winter Dress! 

Some basic info:

• Price: 850 gems
• Members only?: Yes
• Location: Jam Mart Clothing, Jamaa Township

I don't think I've seen this kind of RIM before, meaning I haven't seen many dresses as rare items. I like the color of it! 

Overall, I think it's a nice, spring-y kind of dress 🌷

Moving on!

I wasn't originally planning on posting about this but I noticed a ton of items labeled new, so I think it's content-worthy :)

To start us off, there are 7 new items in Jam Mart Furniture!

I'm excited, because 2 of the items are NM! (the Marshmallow Snowman and the Giant Hot Chocolate) I kind of like these items! Nice winter-y vibes. 

Also, there are 6 new items in Jam Mart Clothing! 

The one non member item in the shop is the Old Hood! And 80 gems?! Sure it's a little ratty and worn out looking, but I think a lot of jammers could make an outfit out of this :)

Finally, the Arctic Armor set is back in the Diamond Shop!

Although they aren't non member, the designs on all of them are really pretty! 

That will wrap up the New Items part of the post!

Onto AJ Ally! 

I actually found 2 AJ Ally worthy scenes and jammers today! 

The first was a super sweet owl giving away free stuff on their trade list :) Definitely deserves a spot in AJ Ally! (I will not include the username for the jammer's privacy reasons) Shoutout to them!

Next, was just an interesting thing I saw. 2 jammers with the same username in the same place. I'm not sure if they realized it, or if it was just mere coincidence, but I thought this was pretty unusual! 

Next topic!

This is just gonna be a quick little update! I have mid-terms coming up, so if you see more infrequent and irregular posting, that's probably the reason :) Nothing major, just wanted to clear up that in case there is any future confusion!!

Onto the last topic!

Finally, a little sneak peek into a new page (or pageS!!) that will be added to the AJD! 

Ideas for When You're Bored: This is a page that I feel a lot of jammers could find helpful and convenient! When I was a member, I used to do this on my wall and I got a lot of jam a grams saying that it was helpful! So I thought that I could do a more advanced and in-depth version here! Let me know if this sounds cool :)

Pet Guide: This one I'm also thinking about working on! And this won't be your average pet guide ;) I want to obviously do information about the pets, but also do a "How to Take Care of Your Pets" part too! (Of course it's just for fun, and not based off of real life) Once again, let me know what you think about this!
