good RIM ?! + annoying jam-a-gram glitch ..

hai hai jammers!

it's 12:36 a.m. on a school night, my brain is fried, and i have 2 homework assignments left in geometry, but i am writing this gosh darn it and i am finishing it.

and this post will most likely not be published on the day i'm writing it, but happy 2-22-22! it's not some big nation-wide celebration or anything, but it's strange to think that as of now, it won't happen again (there aren't 33 days in a month, at the moment), and the last and only other time it's happened was about 920 years ago, i believe. i don't know, just kinda cool to reflect on hehe

how have you guys been? it's been an eventful week for me, to say the least haha~ i ended up reinstalling AJC because i had the day off and was being very un-productive..

i don't want to say "wowow aj looked so different" as i've only not played the game for about 2 months. all in all, everything looked pretty much the same! i had a buddy log on about 5 minutes after i did, and it was nice catching up with her hahaa. apparently she hadn't logged on in a couple of months either, so it was a big, happy reunion. ✨yay✨. i may or may not have forgotten my password prior to my return to Animal Jam but... we're just not going to talk about that :))

aNYways-

i happened to log in on RIM monday, and was pleasantly surprised by it.. honestly, it didn't look too bad!

edit: the fact i got so excited about that is a bit sad but okay 💀

SKJSKHKS i'm sorry for that.

the second thing i wanted to talk about was that annoying "Animal Jam Rocks!" message that seems to replace the text i send in AJ. it hadn't happened a few weeks prior to me uninstalling it, but it seems to have started again and wahhhh.

it's so awkward when you send them a compliment like "i like your outfit!" and they respond with "huh" or "says AJ Rocks" :"""""""""""""D

has it been happening recently to any jammers? let me know, it could very well just be a problem on my end hahahah.

but that will wrap up the post, i'm sorry it's so short!

iiiii hope you enjoyed, and stay tuned for upcoming posts! c:

3 Trading Tips for Jammers

hai hai jammers!

...

before we get started with today's post, i want to quickly say thank you for the comments on my latest post(s) :')) you all are so sweet and welcoming, and i am beyond beyond grateful to get to know such wonderful people ehehe

today's post is going to be on topic of one of the most popular Animal Jam "activities"... ✨trading! alas, trading has very much evolved from when it was first introduced to the game in March 31, 2011, and it can become an annoyingly toxic community if you don't have a solid understanding of it.

here are a few tips that i've picked up in my Animal Jam trading experience c:

Tip #1: know your worth!

i think this is an extremely important part of trading.. you won't know what you 'deserve' if you don't know the worth of your items!

and, finding the worth is fairly simple. i personally use the AJ Worth Wiki to check the rarity, because of the amount of participants on the site. if there's a spike in the worth of rare nerd glasses, for example, the wiki is usually right on that. it's something i've always used and found successful, and i hope it does the same for you!

*small note: you've probably seen jammers in Jamma Township, or Coral Canyons, asking "how much is my list worth?" (or something similar). while this is usually a fast solution, i strongly do not recommend it because of risk of scamming, especially if it's an item not listed on the AJ Worth Wiki. asking someone the worth gives them full control over what your next decision is, and i don't want anyone getting the short side of the bargain. that is just my point of view though, if you ever want to do it, go ahead c:

tip #2: try not to engage in arguments

oh, i know from personal experience how hard this can be. trading something you know is fair for something else, only for the other to decline, can be extremely frustrating. however, it's not worth your time. arguing over one trade (not only) wastes time for you and the other involved, but also heightens the anger and toxicity surrounding the trading community already. all in all, if you trade something fair and it gets declined, just move on! another jammer will most likely have the same item in the future~

tip #3: always use the trading system

i think many long-time jammers already know, or have heard, this tip before; it's widely mentioned because it's a very common scam strategy. it's pretty similar to those "gift me and i'll gift you back!" kinds of scams. if a jammer has suggested avoiding the trading system, kindly decline. i'm not saying everyone that doesn't use the trading system is trying to scam you, but it's always good to be cautious and alert when you see something like that ^^

aaaand those were my tips!

before i end this post, me and my family recently went skiing and we had to travel over some mountain ranges to get to our destination.. which resulted in me getting some pretty cool pictures :D

the pictures i got definitely didn't do the views justice, but it was too beautiful for me to not snag a few w-w. i'm no photographer, but i just thought that was a cool lil thing that happened this winter ^^ i've always been pretty fascinated by mountains.. they're gorgeous assets on this planet, and i think we should recognize that c:

also, Doomy is celebrating their 10th anniversary of Animal Jam Stream with an art raffle! here's the post if you would like to check it out :] >> https://animaljamstream.blogspot.com/2022/02/art-raffle-time-mastertracks-title-music.html

have a great upcoming week, and i will see you all soon!

toodles toodles~

The Daily Interview - Season 2, Ep. 3: Creativey

haii jammers!

it's popcorn here, back with another TDI episode!

our special guest today is the one and only, Creativey!

Creativey is an Animal Jam influencer and Jambassador, newly added to the team back in April. She currently has a grand total of 13,000 subscribers on her YouTube and about 1,600 followers on Instagram.

thank you so much for your kindness and participation during this interview, Creativey C:

let's hop into the post!

<><><>

How did you come up with your username?

So how I came up with my user was in 2020 of January and I had recently got hacked and I wanted to change my username to start fresh. I was on a call with my best friend Jenna and we spent two hours trying to figure out a good username for me and we went through every possible combination with creative in it or something to do with it. Jenna suggested Creativey like creative with a y but I was debating it. In the end, I finally decided to go with Creativey because it was simple and honestly it just went well all together and now I love my user! That's how I got it :)

When did you become a Jambassador?

I became a Jambassador on April 27th, 2021.

How has being a Jambassador in Animal Jam changed the way you play? (i.e. people follow you, people are in your den more)

Being a Jambassador hasn’t changed the way I play much, or if anything it's just the same, but it's pretty chill! I don’t mind people following me or coming to my den even though usually there are no people in my den XD I honestly just go around and vibe with people whether they're my buddies or people I meet in the game and I just have a fun time!

When did you start gaining popularity on your social medias? (primarily YouTube and Instagram)

I don’t know when I started gaining popularity but I think maybe last summer or before then. It was definitely on YouTube since that is where I post my content.

Are there any jammers that you used to or still look up to?

There's not anyone specific I looked up too but I have always admired the older Jambassadors!

<><><>

Creativey's YouTube and Instagram can be found by clicking on those links! as she stated in the interview, she posts the most of her content on her YouTube, so that's where you'd probably find her more active!

once again, thank you Creativey for your cooperation C: i enjoyed interviewing you!

toodles!

The Evolution of An Interview: TDI Walkthrough!

haii jammers!

*quick note: this post was started sometime back in october, so if there's any past information on something just avoid that :")

EHEHEHHE I'M BACK

(that was scary, my apologies)

if the title is a bit confusing, today's post is going to be walking y'all through what i do when i put out TDI episodes C:

and to those who celebrate, happy heart day! whether you have a significant other, or are a single pringle like me, i hope you all have a great day and a fantastic week <3

i hope this post is interesting and entertaining enough.. i tried haha

let's get into the post!

Finding + Questioning

first up, i need to find a willing participant! this can definitely take a while, as we all lead separate lives and don't always check our Instagram DMs aha aha aHA

out of the 8 people i asked for Season 2, only 3 of them responded.

aT lEaSt wE gOt sOmE.

i did find it became a lot easier to ask jammers questions once i was recruited onto Animal Jam Archives, as they now had basically an obligation to talk to me 😀😀😀

the interview process is much easier when you know the person you're interviewing, but i'll walk through the steps i go through when it's an unfamiliar jammer c:

first off, i usually start by introducing myself, and then ask if it is okay for them to participate in a small interview. i think these are both helpful scenarios with many things in life as well; introducing yourself shows confidence and assurance, and asking permission is always generally respectful!

after they've agreed, i copy the questions i use (usually there are about 4-5) and patiently wait for a reply. it's a very patient process haha.. i've found the response times to vary between 3 hours and a week. (and i don't mean the amount of time it takes to respond, i mean the amount of time it takes them to see the questions 💀)

i will adjust the question amount depending on the length of the given responses, too. say a jammer responds with about 1 sentence per question, i'll quickly just add maybe 2 more. i think it just makes the post more entertaining to read :)

after the responses have been recorded, it's time for the...

"Uploading"

by uploading, i mean copying the answers into the post pfff. since i don't have my questions saved on my computer, i'll usually go to a past episode and just copy the questions from there. then, i'll do the same with the answers. finally, you just have to format, i process i hate very very much :D

it really doesn't sound bad, and if you look at it from a technical perspective it isn't, but it can definitely be time-consuming. i usually only have to change the font, the size, and the color, but it's an individual-paragraph thing, which is annoying.

Finalizing + Editing

aaaaand we've reached the last step(s)! once the formatting is done, i usually fix any grammatical or spelling errors, and then write the intro and outro of the post. this usually includes the jammer i've interviewed, a thanks for being a willing participant, and my "toodles!"

~~~
WOO. first post since my unannounced hiatus ! (once again, very very sorry) i hope this was interesting, and i have a couple of drafted interviews saved, so get ready for them C:
i hope you enjoy reading them as much as i do writing them.. i like hearing the varied responses, and different points of view from the jammers :]
anyways, i do feel i am out of my writer's block and i had a burst of around 4 ideas last night for some future posts, so let's hope i end up getting around to writing them! ':D
here is your teddy bear and flowers if you have yet to receive them: 💐🧸
wishing you all lots of loveee, and with that...
henlo friends c:
haiii jammers!!
um.. quite a whirlwind has happened in the past months i've been non-existent on this platform, and AJ haha.
before i really go deep into the explanations and stuff, where have i been??
over the past couple of months, i've really been trying to prioritize relationships and self care, something i know a lot of others have been struggling with during whatever year of covid we're on W-W. one of my new years' resolutions was to be more open, and try and make some more friends! a bit cliche, but it's something i feel i should work on a biiiit more ^w^. as well as life, i've gotten a lot more pressure to finish off my middle school years strong! with high school looming over my head, it's definitely been a bit of a struggle balancing everything.. but hey, we're still here, and i am generally excited for the new school c:
it's definitely been an eventful couple of months; if you weren't a very avid reader of the AJSASS, we noticed a shortage in the activity and amount of scamming occuring in Jamaa, and in the end the content wasn't delivering. it did unfortunately shut down, but as far as i know the posts and past content will remain open to viewers! they have some very informative pages, and i highly recommend you check their blog out here: https://ajsass.blogspot.com/. i was only active as a staff member for a couple of months, but i really supported and agreed with their initative and goal! i did meet a lot of amazing people, and i highly doubt it's something i'll forget.
among all of these revelations and self-reflections, i've actually been really improving + working on myself, something i'm extremely proud of ^w^. i have indeed made some new friends, and i've discovered new passions like kpop, Minecraft and Genshin Impact, and sewing! eheh.
the thing is, i don't want this to be a "goodbye" post. at the moment, i have removed Animal Jam off of my laptop, mainly for storage, partly for a dying interest and a bit of toxicity surrounding the app, but i will most likely never fully remove the idea of re-downloading it from my brain. once again, please do not take this as a goodbye post!! i'm a bit worried some might, and i'm telling you now, it's not! i have been frequently popping on Blogger to read everyone's posts i've missed and aaa, whenever i read them i can literally see myself, sitting at my little desk reading the Animal Jam Stream and thinking "wow, i want to do this, too."
this community is too special to let go, and as for now, i will not be "leaving" it ahah. to all the jammers that are still playing, any new changes to the game?? any cool looooooreeee that i missed O-O?
i have about 27 draft posts, so expect something in the future...
TOODLES FOR NOW, FRIENDS c:
