Hai, jammers!
How are y'all doing this weekend? :')
Since I posted my AJMV on Friday, that meant a post due for the weekend! Today will be the first of many Fit Frenzy posts, where I spotlight a particular outfit in the streets of Jamaa, as well as an updated tutorial for my current cursor C:
I was in an oddly cheery mode today and decided to hop on AJ longer than usual.. and saw this in Mt. Shiveer.
Ah, the young, imaginative minds of fellow jammers.
Let's get on with the post!
The Fit Frenzy feature this weekend went to an outfit I particularly liked... and that was Katnyx's outfit!
I really liked the red, orange, and yellow in the outfit; I think they complimented each other well C: And the usage of the extra wings made it look like the eagle had 4 wings.. GENIUS. Let's give it up for this week's Fit Frenzy feature...
Katnyx!
Next up - the tutorial! This one was requested by Dogo, so shout out to her :) (Note: The tutorial's HTML code is from the AJ blog, Sol Lucet in Jamaa)
2. You'll most likely see many AJ logo's at the top, but scroll down until you find "Icons & Items" in bolded text.
3. Now it's up to you! There are tons of little icons that you can use as your cursor, but if you're looking for the Animal Jam one, it's right here:
4. After you've decided on an image, right-click it and press "Open link in new tab" (It should be the first option on the dropdown) Once you've done that, it should bring you to a screen similar to this, depending on the icon you are using! (Note: There will obviously be a normal link in your search bar, but I didn't include it in the screenshot)
5. Leaving that tab open, go to your Blogger Dashboard and hit "Theme". Instead of clicking the big orange "Customize Theme" you're probably used to, select the white arrow to the right of it and click "Edit HTML".
6. When you get there, I know it's going to look very overwhelming. But to find what you're looking for, use the keys Ctrl and F on PC and Cmmd and F on Mac. A little rectangle should pop up at the very right of your search bar. Here's the tricky part: type "b:skin" into the search bar (remove the apostrophes) and find the orange highlighted part. (Picture below demonstrates, click to enlarge)
7. Directly above the highlighted text, paste the following code*:
<!-- HTML Codes by Code-24work.blogspot.com -->
<style type="text/css">
body {cursor:url(http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-z0zCWXQ25g0/Uu6lJZtT5oI/AAAAAAAABaA/0FVq5Mo9Bdc/s1600/Animal+Jam+cursor.png),auto;}
</style>
<a href="http://24work.blogspot.com/" target="_blank" title="Blogger Tricks"><img src="https://bitly.com/24workpng1" alt="Blogger Tricks" border="0" style="position: fixed; bottom: 10%; right: 0%; top: 0px;" /></a>
*Normally, you would paste the link to your image where the pink text is, but I've already put the link in so you can skip that part.
8. Save the HTML stuff and return to your Blogger Dashboard!
SLAM BAM CHICKAWAM, you've got your own cursor now!
I hope this tutorial helped, and feel free to request some in the comments if you'd like :)
Toodles!
