Best Places to Advertise in Jamaa + Wild Contest Entry!

haii everyone!

bit of a rushed post today, sorry bout that!

2 things before i start with the main part of this post: 

Vai took about a month long break a little bit ago, but she's returning to posting soon, in case anyone was wondering c: 

secondly: here's my contest entry, Wild! i'm so sorry, this is probably the worst art piece i've ever done DX i'd had it half done about a week ago and kept holding it off and changing it because i didn't like how it looked. i hope it's ok, though!

i thought it looked ok in Pixlr, but now that i'm looking at it again, i hate it. pretty simple background, simple characters, basically simple everything. 

que "when you try your best but you don't succeed"..

ANYWAYS-

today i thought it would be fun to make a post about some good spots to advertise in Jamaa! i personally struggle a lot with this, so i hope this helps you if you have a similar struggle as me c:

before i start, i want to just jot down a place i really hate advertising in/seeing people advertise in. 

Trading Parties - i'm going to be honest, i think trading parties are some of the worst places to advertise, especially if you're advertising shops. i personally get annoyed when people advertise at trading parties.. the ideal goal is to trade, and a big pet peeve of mine is when i join a nicely filled party and then SOMEONE comes in and is like, "spikes and more for sale in my den!" and everyone leaves. GAH. for some reason, whenever i see the publicity that people get from advertising in trading parties and decide to do it myself, people start yelling at me and are all like, "get out of here, go back to Jamaa Township." 

so either animal jam hates me or no one likes my shops 😃 

uh, that rant was longer than expected, oops. heh heh, let's get started!

ALDAN

Jamaa Township - honestly, almost everywhere you go in Aldan you'll find a full land. but i think we all know that Jamaa Township Aldan is one of the busiest, fullest, and bestest (making up words today <3) places to trade. (it's also great if you want to witness some pretty WEIRD conversations o.o) 

Coral Canyons - now Coral Canyons Aldan is a pretty good place to advertise, because there's usually a big crowd next to the waterfall. the downside of CCA is the (situation??) there. it's usually filled with the really rare traders, and not many of them are looking to shop. it's still a very crowded place, so you may catch a couple jammers looking to buy!

MISC. PLACES

Pillow Room - the Pillow Room is located in Jamaa Township (next to the arcade) and is known for it's adopting/family roleplays. never the less, whenever i've been to the Pillow Room it's always PACKED and people don't usually yell at you..

Captain Melville's Juice Hut - CMJH (i didn't feel like typing it out, and i don't care that i could've used copy and past o.O) is a smoothie-themed place in Crystal Sands, and is similar to the Pillow Room. i like it more, because it's less hectic and more of a chill place. *flashback to when i tried to make it a rock lounge*

oh wait, i forgot we had a RIM today!

it most definetly isn't my.. sTyLe, but the colors are ok? i don't know, comment what you think C:

My Buddy Rant & Some Art Work C:

didn't expect me to be back so soon, huh? (just kidding, it's been over a week -.-)

welp, i got some random motivation today so i decided to do a quick jumble post. a "jumble post", as i consider it, is a completely unorganized post that i just drop all of my thoughts on C: 

this topic is about buddies, so i hope you enjoy!

(i'm deleting these now, but i thought it would be a cool documentation of a blog milestone)

anyways, let's get started!

My Deleting Buddies Conflict

so i have a love-hate relationship with deleting buddies.

on one hand, if i delete all of the random ones i can make room for all of my "special" buddies, or ones who i've been friends with, spent time with, etc. etc. 

but on the other hand, i usually don't buddy people randomly out of nowhere. there's usually a reason behind that, and if i delete someone i think wasn't "special", then i could've lost a buddy that was friends with me a couple of years ago. 

so i'm now stuck in a pickle. 

also it really just saddens me to see the buddies that i've been friends with since i joined have the 30 day status. but it's also kind of cool to think that this person, this one person out of the 7.9 billion in the world, made an impact on my life long enough that i can remember them and the fun we had. they're out there now living their life in a world other than animal jam. and that may sound sentimental and weird, but i don't know, it's just cool to think about. 

so that's all for my little rant. hopefully it made you think a little bit C:

i am a part of the LGBT+ community, and so i thought this would be a cute way to celebrate the almost-ending pride month :)

Looking Over My (Past and Present) Jam-A-Grams!

haii jammers!

squeee, i'm sorry for (yet again) taking another long break without warning!

i thought with my school over and such i'd have much much more free time but I WAS WRONG. a lot of my focus has been on some hobbies i've recently taken up, which included learning some languages (french and korean!) and trying to get on AJ more heehee

as you've most likely read by the title, i will be reading & reacting to some of my past and previous jam-a-grams :)

i wish i would've kept some of my really old ones, but i looked at my cluster of jam-a-grams a WHILE back and was like, "i really have no use for these, so i'll just recycle them." 

but i haven't gone through a lot of them in a hot minute so we'll see what surprises these will bring!

*also before i start, i'm sorry if you've left a comment and haven't gotten a response out of me in a while! i read and appreciate all comments so so much, but i never have the energy to reply xd so don't think much of it if i don't reply to your comment, i'll try to get to it later on c:

ughh, i get this one so much. for some reason, aj likes to correct whatever message i send to "Animal Jam Rocks!" well it sure doesn't when it does that..

one of my past aj friends forgot who i was the other day :'( eh, it was a while ago so i don't blame her xd (ironic it says "birds of a feather"..)

i thought this one was worth documenting xd this may have been the remnants of a scam someone was trying to get me to fall for.. i don't completely remember haha

these 2 jam-a-grams i do remember! i was feelin' kinda down that day and decided to hop onto aj and say "send me some strange and wacky jam-a-grams!" just out of the blue like that. shoutout to the 2 people that did send me jam-a-grams and made me laugh C:

this one was actually from one of the members of The Animal Jam Friendship Community, Housemom418, after i won a contest of theirs! they were so sweet, i recommend you check out their blog here!

i wanted to attach this cute little message that this person sent me after they gifted me and i gifted back! (this is totally random, but who cares :P)

and now a series of random jags from one of my forever friends 😌

then 2 from a person who visited my blog (i think around October of 2020), and complimented the blog and my den c: 

and finally, some from the time when me and my friend went on a "stalk mission" to try and catch this scammer scamming xD what a time that was.

i thought i'd make this post about the updates and contest AJ put out yesterday! i've got to say, i'm happy with them. i'm also happy it didn't include an AJPW ad again :P

i think it's cool that aj's doing something out-of-the-blue like that C: 

next up, we've got a contest aj is putting on: the den item design contest! (as i like to call it)

in case you don't feel like reading the update, all you have to do is enter the art/masterpiece studio and draw a den item that you'd like to see in-game! when you're finished, instead of clicking create den item like you usually would, click the blue oval that says "send to AJ" so they can look over your design. 10 winners will be chosen to have their den items featured and turned into in-game items! 

this seems like a pretty fun contest, and i recommend you enter it if you get the chance! C: (though i wish it was available for Chromebook players, too :c)

among those fun little updates, the Rainbow Raccoons are back in stores, as well as pet elephants!

lastly, the graphic contest is still waiting on one entry, but don't worry, the winners will be announced! with talk about contests already on the table, Wild started her DTYIS drawing contest a couple of months back and she recently finalized the due date to June 30th! you still have 28 days to enter, so if you haven't already, i suggest you do!

Rating Summer Carnival Games!

happy june 1st, and the start of pride month! c: 

i think we're all in that pre-end-of-the-school-year craziness (at least for those who are ending soon!), and if you are, i'm right there with you. 

i'm not feeling too good today, but i haven't posted in a week or so and decided i should get one out :P

but anyways, today's post will be a quick lil ratings post. what will i be rating you may ask? well, since the summer carnival arrived not to long ago, i thought i could do something summer carnival related. i also have a cotton candy post as well as a beach house decoration post planned for the summer! 

annnnd, another AJMV should come out in a little while. this one will be a little different then the ones i normally do.. i usually use apps that have pre-made transitions and effects. but, um, popcorn has decided to make her life 100x harder and do her own transitions and effects :D i'm using Adobe After Effects (basically Photoshop's video editor) and it's definitely a CHALLENGE.

Phantom Ball

Phantom Ball is actually one of my favorite games at the Summer Carnival. i personally like ski ball, and they're basically the exact same thing. so i like it!

Dunk-A-Phantom

ah, Dunk-A-Phantom. i think this is a pretty good game. it's fun. i get tickets. there's really not much to say about it. not my favorite, but not on my hate list, y'know?

Candy Catch

Candy Catch. once again, this is a pretty good game. the objective is cool, and you get a fair amount of tickets c: overall, not too shabby of a game.

Whack-A-Phantom

i actually really like Whack-A-Phantom. it's not one of those impossible-to-beat games, and it's nice letting out your rage in this game :D

Carnival Darts

ehh, i'm not a huge fan of Carnival Darts. it might just be me, but it seems like it's always impossible to hit more then 6 phantoms. i have no idea why. maybe i'm just bad at it xd but the game is pretty ok, so i think it should at least get 3 stars.
