Rare Golden Tatted Scarf & 10k Views!

WOOHOO, guess what? this blog hit 10,000 views! YAYY C:

i did hit this a couple of days ago, (and i think we're now at 10,500 which is CRAZY)

but i wanted to wait for Monday so i could include the RIM with the appreciation post c:

i don't want to say much other than thank uuuu! this blog was one of the best decisions i've literally ever made, and it's overall very much improved my character and writing! 

that's really all, words can't even describe how happy i am butttttt, i would not like to bore you with a very long I LOVE YOU ALL post heh.

the RIM for today was quite interesting; i don't think there's been a tatted scarf item in the game before.. *proceeds to search on google*

and i was wrong :D there is indeed a normal tatted scarf, and it looks like we now have a gold one pffft.

AUTUMN OUTFIT TRANSFORMATION: I. Shopping ! 🍁

how have y'all been doing?! 

WOOF. second week of school was very hectic for me haha. i didn't expect to actually do as much work as i did (i know, work?? at school??) 

i'm actually proud of myself for getting this post out today, i started it about 4 hours ago but had enough motivation to finish. usually it takes a couple of days LOL

on a side note, i was on animal jam about 2 days ago before school, and right as i was about to log off, someone said "i hope you have a great day! :)". and i know that's such a stereotypical thing to say to someone, like you don't think much of it when you hear someone say it to you, but i read that and instantly felt my day get better. i'm not even kidding, it was so weird. but i wanted to just put that out there because it really changed my perspective about the day! doing something like that could really change someone else's attitude about their day or night, like it did mine, so maybe just think about doing that every once in a while C:

anyways, with september starting, i thought it would be a good time for a little fall post series! 

soo, i've decided to do an outfit customization that would consist of 2-3 parts (still haven't decided yet!) 

the 2-3 posts will be in this order !

I. shopping (this one!)
II. styling + colors
III. results

not sure if i should just combine 2 and 3, but i'll let you know if i do. 

as said above, this post will be the shopping one! i'll be first looking through Jam Mart Clothing, then jammers' personal shops to see if i can snag a few fall and autumn-y items c: 

let's get started !

actually, before we do, while on my way to Jam Mart, i saw one of my old buddies pop on and i was like, "oh, wonder what they have on their trade list," (because i think that all the time 💀), and i clicked on their tag and saw that their animal name was "Earl Desertlilac." i never knew "Earl" was an available name choice, but i'm determined to now name my next animal Earl.

i just realized how much talking i've been doing, so let's *officially* get started!

lucky for me, when i first walked in to Jam Mart, there was a row of new fall items available! the boxed items below are the ones that i bought, but looking back on it i didn't realize how expensive the wings were LOL

after my little trip to Jam Mart, i started looking at others' shops ! (i'll list the usernames of the people i bought from at the end of the post) this first shop had mech angel wings, which were not worth 3 diamonds imo, but i thought i could make enough use of them that i just bought them anyways. 

at the next shop, i got this cute designer skirt which i absolutely love. i think designer skirts look really good with a lot of other items, and the color choices are really nice! obviously, i got the orange one.

at the next and final jammer shop, i got some orange clover earmuffs, which i thought would be pretty fitting with the upcoming chilly weather. and they also look adorable on red pandas hehe.

even though i said i was only going to JMC and jammer shops, i couldn't resist peeking in to the Diamond Shop. and i'm glad i did, because the autumn clothing bundle was back ! i love the tail leaves, because i think the colors and overall design of the items looks really good on a lot of the animals.

as i was about to leave, i clicked the monthly bundle thing by accident and saw some pretty neat autumn stuff ! i was at about 87 diamonds, and the bundle was 30, so i was like "why the heck not," and purchased it anyways. it came with a pet phantom, some clothing items, a fall coyote, and a den (i forget which one..) anyways, i think the phantom pet is what sealed the deal for me, because i've been wanting to be able to customize my own for a while now. soo.. meet zippygiraffe! interesting name choice, i know, but i thought zippy was cute for a phantom and giraffes are my favorite animal c: i took him to the pet stop and gave him these little hay shoes and dead bouquet which i thought looked nice together.

Summer Resort House Tour!

YAYY, popcorn is back again with a non-interview related post C: 

to address the elephant in the room, some information on where i've been, what i've been up, etc. etc.:

school ! - i recently started eighth grade and that's been hectic, exciting, stressful, and fun all at the same time haha. i've already got homework (even though school started not even 3 days ago :/), but so far a pretty good experience. 

ajmv's ! - ahahaha, yes, the infamous ajmvs. i've been hard at work on these, and i hope to get them out before october maybe?? pretty far away, i know, but adobe ae is definitely something i'm still getting used to. 

i'm a very indoor, closed off person, so i tried getting outside more this summer and i think it definitely helped with the whole don't-want-to-interact-with-anyone thing haha. not related to really anything i've been talking about, but something i felt i should share if you're like a more introverted person like me C: 

so..

YEAH. 

to send off summer with a bit of a happy note, i decided today's post would be a little den tour kinda thing. 

but if you think this is a normal den tour, ohoho, think again! i've been working on this den for a week or so now, and it might be my favorite so far. 

it's my summer beach resort den ! 

without further ado, let's get into the post.

Front Beach + First Floor

Pool and Entrance

when you arrive at the resort, you will be greeted by 2 pineapple plants. not sure why i didn't include anything else in this screenshot but :D 

after you pass the 2 plants and walk up the stairs, there's a cute little tropical coconut drink shop in front of the pool area. i forget where i got this, it might've been from a friend who was quitting. i think the graphics and design of the whole thing is adorable and perfect for a summer themed den C:

if you continue going straight past the drink stand you'll find a little pool area. pretty self explanatory LOL.

annnnd if you do a 180 and go all the way to the left of the porch and down the stairs, you'll find an outdoor movie set up thing. i was so excited to see that AJ had added in this outdoor movie screen; i love watching movies outdoors, especially drive in theaters, and i think with the lawn chairs it feels nice and home-y ^^; (obviously the angles aren't perfect BUT LET'S JUST PRETEND OK)

and we've officially made it to the lobby! the picture above is the check-in/out set up, and i think it may be my favorite part of the hotel! the art, by the way, is made by a friend of mine, and i'd love it if you could check them out! (the username is Icegemthefirst, and i'll add some examples of their art at the end of the post if you have any interest in purchasing their art in AJ!) the little ship-in-a-bottle thing is a bit awkward, but i thought it was summer-y and colorful enough to still deserve a place c: i think all of the color in this section is what mainly makes it my favorite, every piece of furniture is so unique yet still fits the vibe of summer, y'know y'know.

in the right part of the lobby, i added this really pleasant waterfall/palm tree/rock thing. i found this at the cruise ship party i think (don't quote me, though), and it's one of animal jam's best items i feel. all the colors work very well together, and the object itself is really clean ! i thought that here was a good place to add the item, because i mean, c'mon, it's already circular. 

finally, we've got this little wall garden on the entrance wall before the stairs c: 

Cafe/Lounge

the first thing you'll see when you come to the second floor is this small wall aquarium and this little table c:

then, you'll walk over to the food and i added a smoothie machine, one of those buffet tables from Epic Wonders, and a drink tray table, which i thought complimented the drink stand at the front of the resort! C:

and, of course, we can't forget Remy, the little stuffed bear i found, kidnapped, and named :D he's currently in a corner because i can't find a good place to put him :/ this hopefully won't be his permanent spot LOL

Rooms + Upper Patio

when you arrive at most jammers' destination, the third floor, you're greeted by 4 rooms, all color-coded. each room consists of 2 beds, a television, a rug, a dresser, a candle, and a plushie c: this is the basic set up of the rooms dividers, but i didn't come up with the shoji screens idea! i forget who i got it from, but it was another jammer who set up a hotel. i used to use gates and fences to divide the rooms, but it always ended up looking cluttered and cramped. also, you can see in the top left corner the gazebo, which definitely looks weird but is aesthetically pleasing enough that i just left it there.

to wrap up the 3rd floor tour, this is the outdoor patio! very simple, we obviously need the towel rack (🙄) and then i've just laid a couple of towels out.

here is the spot next to the slide, basically just a sandbox and a lifeguard stand C: here's me imitating a lifeguard whistle as well.

a bit to the right of the slide, is a small private island and a couple of surfboards! 

finally, to wrap up the tour, we've got an inflatable volleyball net, a lonely singular inner-tube, and an umbrella. i personally love the design of the umbrella, it looks very very real with the shadow and design !

Small Hiatus Notice

wow, long time no see hahah

the only thing that will be notable in this post is my small hiatus. i hope that this will only be a one-week-max thing, and i will resume my posting soon!

i just felt the need to say that, since i kind of left unannounced for a month or so.

today's extra special guest is none other than Cuteypie0518!

Cuteypie is an Instajammer and YouTuber, known for her fun and creative content surrounding Animal Jam. she currently has about 450 Instagram followers and almost 4k subscribers on YouTube! (those links will be at the bottom of the post :)

How did you come up with your username?

I’m honestly not sure how. I was about 6-7, and I think I just liked the term “cutie pie.” However, I couldn’t spell, and it became cuteypie lol. The 0518 is from my birthday, which is May 18th!

When did you join AJ/AJC?

I’ve been playing AJC since late 2012, and AJ since about 2016-2017 (I don’t have the exact date)

When did you start gaining popularity on your social medias? (primarily YouTube and Instagram)

On YouTube, it was my Queen of Mean AMV for Miraculous, which almost has 1 Million views. It was also my Ready or Not series, which gets around 100+ views per episode! On YouTube, I gradually got the followers. It wasn’t really anything special. I started Instagram in 2018, and Youtube in 2019! My Instagram followers tend to be lower since I remove bots pretty often :)

Are there any jammers that you used to or still look up to?

Absolutely! I used to- and still do- really look up to Gellyjones. She encouraged me to start making my own content. I admire Iv0ri (Ellipsity), Snowyclaw (I work with them on the Archives), TypicalRocky, and all of my friends that I’ve met throughout my time as a Jammer and content creator!

The Daily Interview - Season 2, Ep. 1: Shelzy

if you haven't noticed from the title, we are officially on Season 2 of TDI! Season 2 will be interviews with current Animal Jam influencers, most Jambassadors. 

as for this episode, i have brought a very special guest to kick off the new season: Shelzy!

Shelzy was picked as a jambassador back in April along with a little over 15 other jammers. she currently has 135 subscribers on YouTube and a little over 4,800 followers on Instagram. 

i'd like to thank Shelzy for her very kind cooperation during this interview, and without further ado, let's get into the post!

How did you come up with your username?

I honestly was just tryna come up with a cool, snazzy username at the time and the word 'shell' came in my mind after a few others and I came up with shelzy since shell wasn't available.

When did you become a Jambassador?

I got picked with all the other Jambassadors that were recently picked back in late April.

How has being a Jambassador in Animal Jam changed the way you play? (i.e. people follow you, people are in your den more)

I think being a Jambassador has made me realize that there's more to the game than just trading and making fun posts, I've definitely built my confidence realizing I was more than I thought to the game and definitely love socializing and meeting with fans more, and I definitely appreciate things a lot more than before! (I did appreciate everyone before btw I just started appreciating the newcomers basically and appreciating every little thing 1000× more) 😊

When did you start gaining popularity on your social medias? (primarily YouTube and Instagram)

I started gaining my popularity back in 2017/2018.

Are there any jammers that you used to or still look up to?

I look up to primarily the new Jambassadors and amazing jammers who loved me for me like mikurocks21, bumpit, pinkrhino24, alc0r and so many more!

The Daily Interview - Season 1, Episode 5: Rainbow000Pegasus

quick intro today, but WHABLAM. 

popcorn's Daily Interview series is back up and running! i'm pretty sure this will be the last episode for this season, as i have some pretty big ideas for upcoming seasons/interviews. 

i feel so so so bad that i completely forgot about Rainbow's interview D: i'm sorry!! i had the interview portion already written out, but just had to add in the intro/outro. 

(also side note: i got my 2nd COVID vaccine yesterday, and i'm definitely not feeling to well. if there are parts in this post that make 0 sense, that's why xd just a quick heads up!)

When did you first join the blogging community?

I actually started blogging on August 2012, but I joined the Animal Jam blogging community on 20 May 2013 as a blogger myself.

What inspired you to start blogging?

I don’t remember how or why, but I stumbled across Snowyclaw’s Animal Jam Spirit (I think it was called Spirit?) in 2014. I was really into blogging and Animal Jam around the time and from there on I found more and more Animal Jam blogs. Initially I started on using my Animal Jam blog posting stories, random glitches and so on, but after discovering those Animal Jam blogs, I started to blog daily about the updates around early May 2014.

If you could make any changes to AJC (Animal Jam Classic), what would they be? 

Mm, tough question. I feel like there are lots of implementations that could happen throughout the years. I’ll just list them briefly from what I can think about on the top of my head:

– ) Not have rebranded: The whole Animal Jam / Animal Jam Classic thing is honestly confusing. I get that they want to focus on Play Wild! since it seems more advantageous, but it’s overall just an awkward and bad situation, IMO, as a long time player.
– ) Keep AJPW and AJC more or less the same. I liked it when AJPW was still premature and whatever major new things happened in AJC was also implemented in AJPW. Then all of a sudden AJPW started pacing ahead and left AJC in the dust. I wished that they kept their focus on both – the items / contents doesn’t have to be the same, but at the very least I hope that we’re still getting updates, new things, perks and what not one in a while. As someone who has played AJC for a decade (well, I suppose it wasn’t called AJC back in the days-) and just having had AJC’s tenth birthday, it was less than lackluster, showing how much consideration they put into the game as of late. A pity, really.
– ) Keeping the item qualities up. Lately there has been a drop in the quality of items. It might not be noticeable but I had hoped there was someone in charge of quality control to make sure all items are up to standard.
– ) Letting non-members be able to reclaim their old perks. One of them is to be able to access free chat once more. I don’t know why they locked this behind a membership wall now. I want to be able to send gifts too to members, that was my main method of giveaways as well as getting rid of items I don’t need. Also that Jam-a-Gram free message. How long has that been in member testing now? If AJHQ doesn’t plan on giving non-members the perk, they should be honest about it.
– ) Not AJC, but I miss the old Daily Explorer. I also despise how each page of AJDE only has three posts in one page. Bad.

I don’t think there’s any on the top of my head right now.

Is there anyone you used to/currently look up to?

I seriously do not remember why. I think there was a user called MisterChunkyBuddy or something? Their main animal was a koala, and I visited their blog and thought it was cool, so they were pretty much the only blogger I tried to become friends with on Animal Jam? It was short lived though. Not sure what actually went through my head then haha but no I don’t think I particularly looked up to anyone. Though I think Snowyclaw’s plans on the Jamaasian movement was neat, I don’t remember anything that went beyond that via the start of the movement (I stopped visiting AJS when they changed their formatting and a lot of those I consider acquaintances stopped commenting, so I don’t remember much about what AJS had rather than the community of commenters).

Finally, what is your favorite blog post that you've posted? 

Mm, looking back most of my older posts are cringe haha, and lately I haven’t written anything remarkable. Nothing really stands out on the top of my head, so I think it’d have to be the collection of the stories I’ve written for Jamaa lore. A lot of them are really old and a bit painful to read haha, there are segments that I still remember where I was when I written them. It’s been so long since I touched upon them though, so I should probably continue it.
